An imponent secular wood welcomes the guests of this monument, built in the 16th and 17th century.

It is considered one of the prettiest Manor Houses of the region of Vale do Lima. It has belonged to the Counts of Almada and Avranches for many generations.

 

In front of the main entrance rises the Serra d`Arga.

Majestical halls, living rooms, and rooms conserve original objects and materials that tell the history of the Family, of the House and the Country.

 

The old granite tank of irrigation was transformed into a natural water pool.

At the back, pretty hiding places and gardens involve the house and contrast with the agricultural landscape that extends till the River Lima.

The 17th century chapel built in honor of Sao Sebastiao, has in its altar o Senhor da Cana Verde. It holds an important piece of painting that the owners of the house will be delighted to tell you the story.
